Celebrate Election 2016 At These Watch Parties Across St. Louis

 In Food, Guide

On Tuesday, November 8, the entire country will vote not only for the next President of the United States but also for the important individuals and propositions in our own states. Taking part in a vital American tradition is worth celebrating, so if you’re in St. Louis, grab a drink at one of these watch parties and wait for the results to tick in.

1/ Molly’s in Soulard
Watch the results closely, because Molly’s wants to make sure you’re on high alert. Each candidate has their own themed drink specials, and as a state is called for that candidate, that drink will be $1 off. When a state is called for the other candidate, the deal switches to the other candidate’s special.

2/ The Monocle
Tom Halaska of Demun Oyster Bar is bringing bipartisan happiness to the Monocle with complimentary grilled cheese-and-bologna sandwiches and a free beer. Results will be featured live in the Emerald Room. And since they’ll be expecting guests as early as 11am, they’ve got drink specials and activities planned for the whole day.

3/ The Moolah Theatre
The Moolah Theatre will open up their movie screen, couches and bar for voters to watch the results come in. They’ll be open from 4pm-midnight, and as their tagline says, “No matter who you’re voting for… election night will be better with a cocktail.” We can’t help but agree.

4/ Just John’s
Head to the Grove to watch the election unfold at Just John’s. The Vital Voice—a life and style magazine serving primarily the LGBTQ+ community—and the Human Rights Campaign of St. Louis will be hosting.

5/ The Pat Connolly Tavern
Don’t just rip your “I Voted!” sticker off after your obligatory selfie: the Pat Connolly Tavern wants to give you a 20% public service discount when you present your sticker. They’ll show the results live on multiple screens, and we think that discount will really come in handy when it comes to predicting the Electoral College path.
