BrekTrek Kicks Off This Week and Includes Craft Beers and a Free Houndmouth Concert

 In Food, News

St. Louis is nothing if not the quintessential beer town. That’s why Colorado’s Breckenridge Brewery has picked STL for its annual BreckTrek, a weeklong series of events across the city that will give you a chance to sample their best brews, get a little taste of the mountain lifestyle, and—oh yeah, nab a lot of cool free stuff.

The whole shebang kicks off on Tuesday, Sept. 11, with a Happy Hour for Humanity at Three Kings Public House (6307 Delmar), where one of St. Louis’ coolest street artists (Peat “EYEZ” Wollaeger; you’ve probably seen his signature eyeball paintings around town) will complete a live painting, which will be auctioned off at the end of the event to benefit Habitat for Humanity St. Louis. A portion of your food and drink orders for the night will go to help Habitat, too.

But that’s just the beginning of the party. From Bocce Ball with Breckenridge Brewery reps to trivia night at ITAP (16 S. Euclid) to a tap takeover event at Cedar Lake Cellars down in Wright City (road trip?), BreckTrek will keep you busy with fun, free events all the way through September 15th. But be sure not to miss out your chance to win your tickets to their two exclusive events, either: an intimate free concert with indie-pop trio and SXSW darling Houndmouth at the Duck Room, and a four-course beer dinner with chef-crafted food pairings at the CWE’s 1764 Public House.

Don’t wait to put your name in for your chance to win on the BreckTrek website; winners will be announced soon.
