Celebrity drag queen Peppermint gave a scintillating performance and DJ Superconductor mixed chilled beats as VIPs enjoyed complimentary drinks and appetizers. Guests walked away with an ULTRA VIP gift bag.

Photos by Emma Birge-Osborne/ALIVE Scene Team // Brew drinkers and vino lovers gathered at Culinaria Wine Bar for the kickoff of Sips in the City, the hottest happy hour series this summer. Guests enjoyed pours from Chateau St. Jean, and imports from Leffe, Stella Artois and Hoegaarden. 100 percent of the proceeds benefited Independence Center, which focuses on helping adults with mental illnesses live and work in the community independently.

Attendees grooved to sounds inspired by Earth, Wind & Fire, John Legend and Stevie Wonder, while sipping on cocktails, wine and beer.

  Drunken Fish Anniversary Block Party (24 photos)

  June 19, 2010. Photos by Kaitlin Drake/ALIVE Scene Team // Patrons of the Drunken Fish came out to Laclede's Landing for the celebration of their 7-year anniversary. Revelers partied throughout the entire block, while DJ Chris Brown, DJ Show and headliners Broke, provided the music for the bash. Japanese drummers and flame throwers also added to the mix of entertainment. The night wrapped up indoors with a sushi eating contest and video mash-ups with DJ Jay-E.

  June 26, 2010. Photos by Mayumi Noguchi/ALIVE Scene Team // The Midwest's second-largest pride festival brought thousands together to celebrate and support the LGBT community. Festivalgoers enjoyed a weekend filled with fun, food and entertainment. The festival housed a parade, dance pavilion, 5K run, commitment ceremony, ALIVE's ULTRA White Party and pet parade. This year's PrideFest theme was Living Green-Better Together, which represents Pride's effort to become the greenest festival in the region.

Additional Photos Courtesy of Synergy Productions // Wish Upon A Wedding, an organization dedicated to granting those with terminal illnesses a wedding, recently launched its St. Louis chapter. Partygoers in attendance included local event planners and anyone interested in volunteering with the organization. Attendees enjoyed the Caribbean themed party, while they raised money and awareness for Wish Upon A Wedding.

Members mingled and sipped cocktails, while enjoying the relaxing afternoon on the patio. UrbanFUTURE was their partner for this event.

  June 15, 2010. Photos by Bill Pappas/ALIVE Scene Team // David Freese, ALIVE's June cover boy and Cardinals third baseman, signed autographs at the Downtown Clarkson Eyecare. For every 'John Hancock' Freese signs to Cardinals Care, Clarkson Eyecare donated $10. Fans patiently stood, waiting for their chance to meet Freese and score his signature on their Cards gear.

Players, James Hall, Chris Long, Ron Bartell, Clifton Ryan and friends hosted the event sponsored by Synergy Productions, Koncepts and Ciroc Vodka. Ciroc provided the drinks and DJ Big D provided the beats as revelers partied the night away at the Pepper Lounge.
