Major League Sports Going Green… Together

Is it simply a coincidence that major league baseball’s opening day and Earth Day both occur in the same month? Uh… yeah, it probably is. But pro sports do have a big environmental impact: from the energy and water needed to run big league venues, to the massive amounts of trash created at each game, to the carbon footprint of tens of thousands of fans heading to the ball park, the football stadium, or the hockey rink.

Baseball & Bites

I’m a baseball fan to the core. Baseball season is my favorite time of the year. For me, it means walking to my gym, laying poolside while reading my latest obsession, and 160-plus days of game watching. And there’s nothing I love to do more during a St. Louis summer—besides actually attending a game—than to enjoy dinner while watching a Cards game.
