While my last week was consumed with styling a campaign and not working Saint Louis Fashion Week, the five all-day photo shoots in six days had very similar ramifications; all else was put on hold, and I succeeded in using curse words (directed at the same person as during Fashion Week, actually—sorry, man), crying (just once!)  and looking seriously strung-out. While stress brings about my worst self, my work performance inevitably improves with increased pressure; in terms of the campaign, I killed it, if I do say so myself…

Trendspotting: 10 Looks I’m Loving Right Now

People handle stress in different ways. When I have a bad day, I don’t often cry or yell; instead, I flop my bottom in front of my computer and immerse myself in fashion for hours. It takes my mind off of things, and “the feelings” cancel out the blahs. Downtown…Everything’s Waiting For You

I’m a city snob. I try not to be, honest. But since I live Downtown and play and dine there more than any other area of St. Louis, it’s hard not to be. I grew up in the ‘burbs,’ moving around with my family from one military base to another every few years. Every block was identical to the next, where cookie-cutter houses with manicured yards spattered every street in every city we moved, whether we were in Tuscan, Monterey or Heidelberg, Germany.
