Macy’s at Saint Louis Galleria
Last night brought Saint Louis Fashion Week to Macy’s at Saint Louis Galleria for a fabulous runway show of ready-to-wear fall looks. Vibrant colors were the name of the game, with pops of bright red, turquoise, orange and pink throughout the show. There was a clear ‘70s influence in the silhouettes on the runway, with elongated waists, full skirts, capes and plenty of pleats and prints. We loved the fully accessorized looks, complete with chic leather gloves, bags, shoes and hats—all impeccably coordinated.
The most special part of the evening was that all proceeds from ticket sales went directly to St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Advance ticket sales alone totaled over $1,600, with even more sold at the door. Plus, Macy’s offered a special deal to shoppers after the show: those who donated $5 to St. Louis Children’s Hospital received a $10 gift card to use in the store that night. Shoppers also enjoyed a 25 percent discount in the Impulse and INC International Concepts departments, along with special racks of looks pulled directly from the fashion show.
Before and after the show, guests mingled in the aisles, sipping EFFEN Vodka cocktails and Bud Light Platinum and snacking on delish appetizers from BlackFinn while browsing the racks. Here are some pics our social media team snapped:
We’ll be at Saint Louis Galleria again tonight for night three of Saint Louis Fashion Week, “Fall In Fashion”! If you don’t have your tickets yet, don’t worry—you can still but them at the door. And, don’t forget the after-party at BlackFinn! We’ll see you out there!
UPDATE: St. Louis Children’s Hospital ended up taking home over $2200 in ticket sales and donations!
