JEWELRY:
GLOBAL GEMS
By Racquel Russell
On your mark, get ready, jet set across the world (fi guratively speaking, that is) and shop the international fashion circuit’s must-have accessories when Global Chic Week arrives in St. Louis. The six-day event, hosted by Elleard Heffern Fine Jewelers in Clayton from December 1-6, will feature trunk shows highlighting jewelry collections by top international designers, including many exclusive pieces, plus personal
appearances by many designers themselves. The festivities kick off "in Barcelona" on December 1-2 with the Masriera collection, highlighting Lluis Masriera's designs filled with fantasy and motifs from nature, which formed part of the Art Nouveau movement. Journey "to Spain" on
December 3 when the Armenta collection will feature Emily Armenta’s pieces, which incorporate the Old World Etruscan method of granulation and pay homage to Duende. Wrap up the week's travels "in India" with designer Arun Bohra on December 4-6 and a viewing of his Arunashi collection, filled with bold and innovative designs that blend Old World sensibility with modern sophistication. In addition, Elleard Heffern will showcase expanded collections of its Bochic, Baccarat and Stephen Webster lines all week long; plus new jewelry from Elleard Heffern’s favorite European, South American, Turkish, Greek, Indian and American designers (314.863.8820, heffern.com).
One-of-a-kind Arunashi cuff with diamonds, tourmalines, sapphires and spinels set in 18k gold with a blackened rhodium finish available at Elleard Heffern Fine Jewelers. Price upon request.
